Lena Wheeler was born in Pittsburgh PA on August 2, 1991 and is the 2nd child of 7 children. At the age of 4 her family moved to Oil City PA and she lives there to this day.

In her childhood Lena was surrounded by art and was constantly drawing, sketching, gluing, crafting, and creating. There was always an art project to do in the Wheeler Household! She was encouraged by her family, most of who are artists. She especially liked to work on collaborate with her sister Rachel Wheeler.

She is a self-taught artist and her favorite mediums are mixed media and jewelry making. Her work reflects some of her favorite genres: fiction, fantasy, science fiction, steampunk, mystery, and adventure. She is inspired by these genres and creates work that you will find in these worlds.

Lena is an Oil City Arts Council board member and head of the Arts Committee. Along with the other Arts Committee members they look to create programs, events, and places that benefit the artists and the community alike. One such place is the Transit Art Gallery and Gifts.
