Heidi Wirtner is a multimedia artist located in Emlenton. She graduated from Edinboro University with a BFA in Graphic Design and Art Education, and currently teaches art in the Moniteau School Design in Butler County. The great artists Georgia O’Keeffe and Claude Monet, greatly influence the work that she creates. The wonderful flowing lines with lost and found edges of O’Keeffe’s work and the colors, water and plants found in Monet’s paintings are things that Heidi loves to incorporate into her own art. Heidi’s love of water and nature greatly impact the art she creates, and her love for dogs is also an inspiration. Her artwork ranges from acrylic paintings to printmaking and she has also begun using epoxy resin in her work. Ms. Wirtner hopes that her work touches the hearts and minds of people, and makes them look at things a little bit differently than they usually would.
