I have been an artist who has worked in many mediums over the years.
My current work is animal oriented. I use several different techniques to capture the essence of animals done in 3D.
I incorporate traditional woodcarving skills from the earlier phase of my career on the beaks and claws of the animals. I also use recycled papers, cardboard and nature’s treasures like driftwood and stones.
My 2D Animal portraits are inspired by the use of color theory, while emphasizing the eyes of the subject to pull the viewer into the painting.
As I learn more about each animal, my hope is that people who see my work will see how beautiful these animals are and be inspired to learn what each one of us can do to better the environment for the future.
